Rob Kardashian has been diagnosed with diabetes, according to a new report.The former reality star was rushed to hospital when his health worsened after earlier telling family he ‘wasn’t feeling well,’ a source toldTMZ.After a series of tests were performed, the 28-year-old was stablised and remains hospitalized.

San Bernardino shooter Tashfeen Malik reportedly told visa officials she was pregnant when she was applying for permanent U.S. residence last September.Her pregnancy may have been noted as evidence to prove her marriage to husband Syed Farook, an American citizen by birth, was legitimate, theLos Angeles Timesreported.The contents of Malik’s immigration record were revealed by a congressional official on Monday, who spoke to the Times on the condition anonymity because the application has not been released.

Affluenza teen threw a ‘going away’ party before going on the run with his mom over parole violation – and now faces up to 10 years in prison after being caught in Mexico

Killer drink driver Ethan Couch and his mother Tonya planned to disappear and even had going away party before they went on the run, police have said. The 18 year old, dubbed the ‘affluenza’ teen, and his mom were captured in Mexico two weeks after they fled. They were wanted in Tarrant County, Texas, after disappearing and allegedly violating the 10-year probation he was given when he killed four people. The sheriff’s department revealed that before the vanished, a soiree was held for Ethan and his mother. It is not clear who attended the party, but police believe it happened right before they left. Couch is expected to be turned over to the US Marshals Service and his mother Tonya was also detained. On his return to Texas he will be detained in a juvenile prison.

Glee actor Mark Salling has been arrested for possessing child pornography. The LAPD’s internet Crimes Against Children Task Force unit served a search warrant early this morning at hims home in Sunland, California. Cops reportedly searched his computer and are believed to have found hundreds of indecent images on his phone. Salling played Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman in the hit FOX series. He first appeared in 2008 and was a regular until season five. In March he allegedly reached a $2.7million settlement with a woman who had sued him for sexual battery. Officer Aaron Jefferson from the LAPD confirmed to Daily Mail Online Salling had been arrested on child porn charges on Tuesday morning. He is now being held in Los Angeles’ Downtown jail.

The identities of 19 people killed over the weekend in tornadoes, blizzards, severe thunderstorms and floods swept the middle part of the United States have been revealed. They include (left) 30-year-old Kimberly Tippett and her one-year-old son Camryn Cain, and (center, clockwise from top left) Michael Nunnally, who was due to celebrate his 48th birthday on Sunday, seven-year-old Nicholas Pulmroy, who was heading to his grandma’s house, 18-year-old Michaela Remus, who was asleep when a tree crashed through her bedroom roof, LaShondra Whitaker, 32, a dispatcher for the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, and Cecil Lowrie, 77, whose wife was left critically injured. The couple were caught up in the storms in Garland, Texas, which left swaths of land flattened (right). In total at least 47 people have died as a result of the deadly weather.

Ethan Couch (left) and his mother Tonya (right) went missing this month and were wanted in Tarrant County, Texas, after he was sentenced to probation about two years ago in court for intoxication manslaughter. Couch, the ‘affluenza’ teen, is expected to be turned over to the US Marshals Service, according to CNN’s report, citing officials briefed on the matter.Couch vanished and his mother was listed as a missing personby Texas authorities shortly after a video came out that appeared to show him at a beer-pong party, in likely violation of his probation. The ‘affluenza’ nickname for the 18-year-old came from a psychologist who said during Couch’s trial he was so wealthy and spoiled he could not tell the difference between right and wrong.

Buhari, Jonathan, Elumelu, Umunna among 100 most influential Africans

President Muhammadu Buhari and ex-President Goodlcuk Jonathan top the list of ‘100 most influential Africans of 2015’ by New African magazine.
Also on the list is Chairman, Board of Directors, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Mr. Tony Elumelu and African Development Bank (AfDB) President Akinwunmi Adesina.
The list “presents Africa’s definitive power list and profiles the continent’s top game changers in eight different fields: Politics (22); Public Office (4); Arts and Culture (21); Business (21); Civil Society (11); Technology (9); Media (7); and Sports (5).
President Buhari and former President Jonathan are listed for the significant roles they played in the 2015 elections.
Other Nigerians recognised include the former UN Special Adviser on Post Development Planning, Amina J Mohammed, Nigerian United Kingdom MP and Chuka Umunna and World Bank Vice President and Treasurer Ms Arunmah Oteh
Amina Mohammed is the Minister of Environment. Before her appointment, she was Special Adviser on Post-2015 Development Planning at the United Nations where she contributed to the shaping of the new 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development across three years of complex negotiations and the most inclusive consultation process in the history of the United Nations, her vision and voice helping to bring people together, enlist new partners to the cause and reach global consensus on the Sustainable Development Goals.
Adesina is Nigeria’s former Minister of Agriculture. Umunna is recognised for the significant positive recognition he has brought Nigerians in the UK while Arumah Oteh is recognised for her elevation to one of the most significant positions at the World Bank.
Omar Ben Yedder, Group Publisher, of the New African said the list of “100 Most Influential Africans” celebrates the “men, women and organisations that have shaped our beloved continent, the trail blazers, influencers and the rising stars who are redefining Africa’s future in the various spheres in which they operate.”
Explaining the selection of Elumelu as one of the most influential Africans, he said “In this increasingly global and interconnected world, we need champions; those game changers who are making a difference, changing perceptions and shaping our definition of what is possible. This is why it is our honour to recognise you as one “New African’s 100 most influential Africans 2015. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished.”
Elumelu is also the Founder and Chairman of Heirs Holdings, a privately held investment firm, with interests in the power, Oil and Gas, financial services and hospitality sectors across Africa. He is Chairman of Transcorp, Nigeria’s largest listed conglomerate; and Seadrill Nigeria Limited.
In 2010, Mr. Elumelu created the Tony Elumelu Foundation, which champions African entrepreneurship. In January 2015 the foundation launched the $100 million Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme to seed and support 10,000 African entrepreneurs over the next decade. The programme represents Tony’s personal commitment to the economic philosophy of “Africapitalism”, a development model he propagated, that sees the African private sector as the catalyst in ensuring Africa’s sustainable social and economic development.?
The 2015 cycle of Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) resulted in the selection of 1,000 entrepreneurs from 51 African countries and territories for business training, active mentoring, networking and seed capital funding for their start-up business ideas. The TEEP entrepreneurs represented a diversity of sectors, ranging from agriculture to education to energy, fashion and ICT, emphasising Africa’s potential. The TEEP initiative has been recognised as one of the most impactful developmental initiatives on the African continent.
